Trevor’s Trek Foundation is dedicated to combating childhood cancer. Our goal is to build more awareness of childhood cancer and support research into causation and prevention.
Trevor’s Trek Foundation envisions a world in which children no longer have to suffer from preventable childhood illnesses that are related to the air they breathe, the food they eat, the water they drink and the dirt in which they play. We strive to create a world in which parents no longer have to ask, “Why did this happen to my child?”
Why We Fight:
The overall rates of cancer among children and other childhood diseases such as autism and asthma are rising dramatically. There is mounting evidence that toxic pollutants play a pivotal role in causing these chronic illnesses in children. Trevor’s Trek Foundation seeks to accomplish its mission by 1) Raising awareness of not only the dramatic rise in childhood cancer, but by exposing the link between a child’s environment and his or her health; 2) Advocating for changes in policy with respect to the identification, investigation and tracking of disease clusters; 3) Supporting research through strategic partnerships into causation and prevention of chronic childhood disease: and 4). Fostering a change in culture with respect to the nutrition of children.
